Samantha Meyers, PT, DPT

Dr. Meyers earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is a New York-based physical therapist specializing in orthopedic and performing arts rehabilitation. She works with dancers, Broadway performers, and athletes to support injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance optimization through a comprehensive, evidence-informed approach that integrates orthopedic assessment with hands-on manual therapy and movement-based treatment strategies.
Dr. Meyers has extensive experience treating elite performing artists across Broadway productions, national tours, and leading dance institutions, including Wicked, The Great Gatsby, Sunset Boulevard, Operation Mincemeat, Old Friends, Suffs, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Joffrey Ballet, and the School of American Ballet. She is fully certified in Active Release Techniques® (ART®). Her clinical work emphasizes precision in load management, tissue capacity development, and return-to-performance progression tailored to the unique demands of each production schedule.
An internationally ranked Irish dancer and four-time regional champion, Dr. Meyers brings an artist-informed perspective to her clinical practice. She has pursued advanced education in dance medicine and performing arts rehabilitation, presented research at the Performing Arts Medicine Association on injury patterns in Broadway performers, and is committed to helping performers and athletes move efficiently, perform sustainably, and thrive on and off the stage. Her treatment philosophy centers on longevity, performance resilience, and the preservation of career sustainability for high-demand artists and athletes.
