How long is the cell (BMAC) therapy procedure?

BMAC therapy takes about 45 to 60 minutes to complete. Patients can usually go home the same day as the procedure.

The procedure starts by injecting a local anesthetic into the tummy fat. This takes about 15 to 20 minutes. For about the same amount of time, the bone marrow is extracted, and the excess water taken out.

With ultrasound guidance, the bone marrow concentrate is injected into the damaged area, which takes about 10 to 15 minutes per area.
